COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy emphasizes the idea, as individuals, we experience difficulties in life based on our perceptions of the events that have occurred. It focuses on healthy thinking and changing our self-talk to improve the way we feel.
SOLUTION-FOCUSED THERAPY
Solution-Focused Therapy places emphasis on an individuals present problems and future goals. It is different from traditional therapy, in that it aims to find a quicker resolution for our problems and doesn’t take the time to analyze problems and explore the pathology of past life events.
FAMILY SYSTEMS THEORY
Family Systems Theory stresses that, as individuals we are best understood within the context of our family relationships and interactions and how we fit into that system. It determines that what happens to one member of a family happens to everyone in the family.
